Hexed by Michelle Krys Review

Reviewed by Lucy Lowndes

Hexed is the first novel by author Michelle Krys. The story follows a 16 year old cheerleader called Indigo Blackwood, who is soon to have her whole world turned upside down when she discovers that she may be a witch.

From the back of the book…

A Stolen Book.
A Deadly Plan.
A Destiny Discovered.

Indigo Blackwood has it made – a popular cheerleader with a football star boyfriend and a social circle powerful enough to ruin everyone at school. Who wouldn’t want to be her?

But when a sexy stranger named Bishop enters Indie’s world, she learns that the fate of every witch on the planet is in her hands. And that’s seriously bad news for Indie, because according to Bishop, she’s a witch too.

Forced into a centuries-old war between witches and sorcerers, Indie’s life just got way more complicated.

The front cover of the book is very eye-catching with a pretty blonde girl standing over the X of the word Hexed. At the top of the book are the words ‘She’ll put a spell on you…’ Straight away giving you an idea of what the book may have in store!

As I am a huge fan of supernatural novels I was very excited when this arrived through my door. As soon as I started reading it I was not disappointed. I was hooked from page 1 and found myself reading chapter after chapter in just one sitting! The whole story is fast paced and well written. You quickly get to know (and love) Indie, Bishop and Paige (the girl next door!) and you also get to quickly hate the badies… Frederick, Leo and the rest of the priory! The author does a brilliant job at making the badies really scary!

Without spoiling the ending for other readers I can say that there is a cliff-hanger, so I’m really looking forward to the next book in the series so I can find out what happens next!

I have thoroughly enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it to other fellow supernatural book fans.

The RRP of the book is £7.99 which I think is a good price.
