A while ago I was lucky enough to review some Didriksons summer coats for my 3 year old twin boys and my 10 year old daughter, so I was delighted to get the opportunity to review some winter ones for my boys.

Didriksons first started making practical workwear in Grundsend, Sweden in 1913 to keep fishermen dry and warm and they still have that same philosophy today, clothing that is functional, stylish and keeps the elements at bay.

NokosiThe first coat I tried was the Didriksons Nokosi Kids Parka (500638/039). Tom received this stunning parka in a gorgeous shade of navy. The first thing that struck me was the quality of the materials it is made from. The grey and orange on the logo and trim coordinate well with the navy. Inside the coat is a lovely fleecy lining. There is also a handy orange mesh style pocket. The label has space to write your child’s name and there is also a useful hook to hang up the coat. The fur look lined hood is removable. There are 4 additional pockets on the front of the coat and a suede look 1913 logo is sewn into the back of the coat.

The STORMsystem™ makes the coat 100% true waterproof, windproof and breathable. I was also delighted to see that the coat extends in size due to a seam inside the garment’s arms which can be cut away.

Tom looks so cute in his coat and I can feel secure in the knowledge that he is not getting cold in this changeable weather. Rating: 5/5

HamresThe second coat I tried was the Didriksosn Hamres Kids Jacket (500213/305). Jack received a vibrant red Hamres Kid’s Jacket. This is of top notch quality. As with the other coat we received, a seam within the arms can be cut out to increase the size of the coat and further prolong its use. There is space on the label for your child’s name and a hook to hang the coat up on a hook. The hood is removable. There is a grey and orange logo on the front of the coat and grey shiny look trim. There is Velcro on the cuffs to adjust them. The hood is also adjustable via Velcro. There are two zipped pockets on the front of the coat. The padding on the inside is navy blue. The bottom of the coat is adjustable too via a pull cord and tog you can set. The STORMsystem™ makes the coat 100% true waterproof, windproof and breathable.

Jack looks adorable and snuggly in this beautiful coat. Rating: 5/5

Both coats are of excellent quality and 100% waterproof and windproof and both look great. Both are 100% Polyamide Weave, Coating, PFC free WR Finish and both have a warmth rating of over 50%. Both can also be extended prolonging the life of each coat which is a great idea and making them excellent value for money.

Both boys love the coats and they are great for winter weather. Highly recommended.

Rating: 5/5 thumbs_up

RRP: £67.99 (Nokosi) / £45.99 (Hamres)
