Cadbury Easter Gifts Review

Reviewed by Melody Floyde

As a big chocolate fan and having enjoyed Cadbury Easter Eggs every year for as long as I can remember, I was very happy to be asked to review some of Cadbury Easter products for this year.

On receipt of the parcel I was very excited to find I had been sent four products to put to the test, these were – Dairy Milk Egg “n” Spoon Chocolate Mousse Eggs x 4, a Double Decker large Easter Egg, a Dairy Milk Spring Edition Bar and a Dairy Milk Chocolate Hollow Easter Bunny and couldn’t wait to try them. My children were equally keen to get stuck in.

First, we tried the Egg n Spoon Chocolate Mousse Eggs – this was a box of four chocolate eggs, individually wrapped filled with chocolate mousse. They came in a very cute purple egg box, which my sons thought was brilliant and have kept to use in their play kitchen, and had a couple of small plastic spoons to eat them with. Once the top of the eggs were bitten off we could tuck in to the mousse that was inside the Dairy Milk shells. These were nice eggs, although I personally was expecting them to be a bit more “moussy” as the inside was actually quite firm like a ganache and quite rich, however this didn’t deter us from demolishing them quickly! We loved the eggs and they would be great to buy as a treat to share (or eat all to yourself!), however one tiny negative was that, as there were only two spoons and four eggs, this did cause a bit of an argument in our family as to who got to use the special egg spoons and who had to use the normal teaspoons!

Next on the list was the Double Decker Easter Egg – a hollow dairy milk chocolate egg with two double decker bars. This came in brightly coloured cardboard packaging and the egg was wrapped in purple Cadbury foil, so as well as looking good could be fully recycled after Easter! The egg as expected was good with the characteristic creaminess of Cadbury Dairy Milk and I have to confess that I haven’t had a double decker for years and had forgotten how nice they are, yummy chewy nougat and crispy cereal coated in milk chocolate. I didn’t even realise that you could get a Double Decker Easter Egg, so I know what’s going on my list this year!

We then tried the Dairy Milk Spring Edition bar which is a bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk decorated with white chocolate bunnies on each segment. This was a really nice twist on the classic bar and tasted really nice too, this would make a perfect gift for Easter which is a bit different than the classic egg.

Finally, we had the Hollow Milk Chocolate Easter Bunny 50g which again was made of delicious Dairy Milk chocolate, shaped like a bunny and wrapped in foil – my sons really liked this one and it disappeared quickly. This would also make a great little Easter Gift for children.

I enjoyed testing all of these products and they would all make ideal Easter Gifts, in fact I personally don’t think you can beat Cadbury at Easter!
