After a brother and sister witness a murder and are next on the killers hit list their father breaks out of prison to save their lives.

When a protest in a forest to stop trees being felled goes badly wrong a man dies, Jack Damson (Brendan Fraser) is imprisoned for his murder.

Seven years later his 17 year old daughter, Jenny (Holly Deveaux) and her younger brother Mikey (Christian Martyn) are camping in the forest at Finger point when they hear a gunshot. The killers, brother Tommy (Dominic Purcell) and Kenny Baxter (Ethan Suplee), are convinced that the children saw them and start the hunt to find them to see what they know.

Once Jack finds out that his children are missing he escapes from prison while on work release to find his kids and save them from a killer.

The fight for survival is now on.

Overall, I found this to be a mediocre thriller. The basic storyline is good but I found Brendan Fraser to be a let down and just not right for the role. With a killer roaming the woods with a rifle fitted with a sniper scope and all the time in the world to take aim and fire and yet constantly misses his target ruins the film but obviously keeps the action going.

Brendan Fraser is an environmentalist convicted of murder who escapes from prison to save his children from a psycho killer and his backwards brother (who believes he is talking to his dead mother on a phone he found and has to protect the children they are hunting).

An OK thriller, but not one of the best.
