This Calming Skin Therapy Moisturiser from Aubrey Organics is designed for sensitive skin, and contains organic firming and anti-redness ingredients. The recommended usage is twice a day (morning and night). As someone who suffers from sensitive and dry skin I was keen to see how effective the product would be, particularly as my skin gets worse as the weather gets colder, and whether I would manage with not using a rich night cream.

The cream itself is light and non-greasy and sinks in really quickly. I had to use a little more than I would with my usual moisturiser, which does tend to be thicker, but a little still went quite a long way. I used the cream twice a day for five days; my skin coped well with the change in products and did feel slightly firmer but there was no change in redness. However, my face felt drier than usual, and I had to use a night cream on one occasion when the central heating had been on and my skin felt dry. It would be interesting to see whether it made a difference with regular use over a month or longer. The main drawback with this moisturiser is the smell, which is rather strong, and reminded me of curry powder!

A 50ml bottle costs under £18.49, which is reasonable for a moisturiser that contains all organic ingredients. It is also certified cruelty free (so no products or ingredients have been tested on animals), gluten free and vegan.

For me, this is a cream I could use in the warmer months (with a sunscreen during the day) if I could get used to the smell, and I would definitely recommend it to people with sensitive skin. However, in colder months I would need something richer and heavier to stop my skin from drying out.
