Ariana Grande is currently on her international Honeymoon tour. Myself, and my 10 year old daughter went to see her at Manchester Arena. We were sat about 15 rows from the front on the floor and we had a great view.

There was lots of merchandise for sale as with any concert but there is only one theme in town when Ariana is around and that is cat ears. Everywhere you looked in the arena people were wearing them, they had interactive ones on sale which changed colour with the show such a great novelty but quite expensive priced at I think £30 each. Lots of people came in there own though and it was certainly a common accessory for many fans.

Ariana was supported by Rixton and they were great at getting the crowd warmed up and dancing. They really connected with the audience even taking a selfie on a little girl’s phone. Great choice and thumbs up from us.

But enough of that we want to talk about Ariana’s show and well what a show it was. Her staging was excellent, there was great use of props, lights and effects and you wondered what she would produce next. She didn’t seem to be on stage very long but it was just over an hour but I think the ticket prices reflect that with the most expensive being £38.50 which I think is cheap for a good concert.

The show opened with Bang Bang and the crowd were all up dancing getting ready for the rest of the show to come but what a great start she made. Vocally excellent and even my 10 year old said “she sounds great mum its good she isn’t lip syncing” and she certainly wasn’t.

The staging for the show was excellent and costumes bright and sparkly. The screen opened and out came Ariana on a moving cloud, my daughter was fascinated by this and thought it was excellent and then it got even better later in the show when she came out on a chandelier well wow it was brilliant and her costume was very glitzy.

She sounded excellent, she was strong vocally but for me the music was a little bit loud in places and you couldn’t hear her sing properly but think some of that was our location to the speakers.

She was supported by a full team of backing dancers which complimented her own excellent full on dancing and in heels well I was very impressed cause if it was me I would have fallen many times. She clearly had a great relationship with her dancers and you could tell she was having fun on stage and for me that made the show more enjoyable as she was happy to be performing and enjoying it just as much as we were.

There was an MC who filled in the gaps when doing costume changes and he did some awesome tap dancing and also the dancers came on and did a routine. He was really good at keeping the crowd’s attention for those few minutes in between.

Vocally excellent, performance excellent, staging excellent what more can I say but try and get tickets you will not be disappointed.
