This beautiful bouquet of roses arrived today from Appleyard Flowers – the online flower delivery company who can deliver at less than 24-hour notice in some parts of the country (so no excuses for Mother’s Day!)
The bouquet arrived at the door in an upright box, with the stems tightly packed in a plastic stop so that they stay upright and stay hydrated. The roses were surprisingly scented (which not many roses are these days) and delicate to touch. Every one of them was fresh and presented in a hand tied ribbon. We took the flowers out of all the packaging and fitted the plastic stop right into a large vase, so there was no need to spend time arranging them ourselves. If you did want to arrange them or split them up into different vases, then the plastic stop is easy enough to remove. There’s a flower food sachet included as well. There were 12 stems of roses, tightly arranged with extra green foliage into a spray that was about 45cm high and 40cm wide and looked gorgeous – lovely surprise as you open the box!
Appleyard produce flowers for all occasions and currently have 55 arrangements available. You can order hampers of flowers which include wine and handmade chocolate and in some cases increase the size of the bouquets. They also have plants and vases available for those arrangements that you would like to last longer.
Their Lemon Cello bouquet is a particular favourite at £49.99, and perfect as a Mother’s Day present. It can be increased to the Luxe size for £10 and delivery starts at £5.99. There’s a choice of cards to add with the arrangement as well, and you can add a personal message to be typed in the card. Alternatively, you can arrange for flowers to be delivered on a monthly basis as part of a subscription. I think this is a brilliant idea as the bouquets last for several weeks, but the subscription means the receiver doesn’t have to wait long until the next one arrives!
